Join your fellow competitors at the 2022 Red Hills International Horse Trials. This event is sanctioned by the sport’s international and national governing bodies, Fédération Equestré Internationale, the United States Equestrian Federation and the United States Eventing Association. Entries will open January 25, 2022, for the following levels: CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S, National Advanced, Intermediate, and Preliminary Divisions.

Michael Etherington-Smith and David O’Connor have again designed challenging and fun cross-country courses.

Waiting lists have become common at Red Hills. Don’t wait until the last day to complete your entry.

Membership Requirements:

Membership in the Federation is open to any individual who is an athlete, rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, horse owner or breeder, coach, trainer, manager, administrator, official active in equestrian sport, or any other individual having an interest in equestrian sport, and to any organization that conducts equestrian competitions or other programs or events in the sport on a national, regional, or local level.

To be eligible to participate as a rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, owner, lessee, agent or trainer, riding coach or driving coach, at Federation Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above, … or International Competitions,… persons must be Senior Active Members or Junior Active Members of the Federation as provided in Bylaw 212, or if non-members, must pay a registration fee  (Show Pass) as provided in the Rules. Lessees are considered owners in connection with this requirement. In the event of an entry under multiple ownership, only one owner need be a Senior Active Member or pay a registration fee.


Entry Fees for CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S and CCI2*-S are $500

Entry Fees for Advance, Intermediate and Preliminary are $450

Entries received on or before February 8, 2022: Deduct $25
Entries received after February 22, 2022, but on or before 6 p.m. on March 1, 2022: Add $50 Late Fee. No entries will be accepted after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

There is a $10 service fee for Credit card payments.

There is a $300 fee for stabling Wednesday through Sunday night.
(one check per horse)

A Stall Cleaning Deposit of $100 is required. Separate check for each stall, please. No credit cards for stall deposits.

No entry will be accepted without stall cleaning deposit.

Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP)​

Red Hills is participating in The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP). TIP awards will be given in all divisions: CCI4-S, CCI3-S, CCI2-S, Advanced, Intermediate, Open/Preliminary Rider (combined). All horses must have registered with the Jockey Club and Red Hills by 5:00 p.m on Thursday, March 10, 2022.

To encourage the retraining of Thoroughbreds into other disciplines upon completion of careers in racing or breeding, T.I.P. offers sponsorship for Thoroughbred-only classes and divisions, high point Thoroughbred awards at open horse shows and competitions, a Thoroughbred of the Year Award and a Young Rider of the Year Award.

Already in TIP? Let us know you are eligible for this special awards program by completing the registration form or you can sign up at the Stabling Office on Thursday, March 10.
